...this comment is not meant to be disparaging, but while i find that all the right people say all the right things, they're not the problem...

...the problem is awareness, plain & simple...all the signs, ranting whines & painted lines, mean very little until every driver gets one undeniable fact into their head...they will encounter bicycle riders daily, for the rest of their lives, on almost every road they drive on...

...it's about education, understanding that cyclists will be there, again, on a daily basis...

...infrastructure is easy to become accustomed to, signs become commonplace & all the distractions of daily life don't allow for the awareness that is needed...

...most people don't care about cyclists until we "get in their way"...
